Am I covered by insurance when I teach?
Updated
TeachMe.To has a secondary accident medical policy. It may cover eligible accident-related medical expenses for coaches and students during lessons booked and paid for through TeachMe.To.
How the policy works
- The policy is secondary. It applies only after your own primary insurance is used up.
- It has a $5,000 deductible per occurrence. You or your own insurance pay the first $5,000 of eligible expenses.
- After the deductible, it covers up to $1 million per occurrence for eligible accident-related medical expenses during lessons.
- It is not workers' compensation insurance.
- It does not pay you for a cancelled lesson.
We strongly recommend that you get your own primary insurance, including health insurance and professional liability insurance. TeachMe.To does not sell insurance to coaches.

If a venue asks for a certificate of insurance
Some parks, schools, and facilities ask for a certificate of insurance before you teach there. Contact support with the venue name and what the venue needs.
