My name is Zurab Tskhakaia. Iβm founder of ZT Tennis club Based in Brooklyn. Originally i'm from Eastern Europe Republic of Georgia. I have been playing tennis over 25 years. Former: NCAA D1, ITF, ETA tennis player. I am a USPTA/PTR/ITF-certified tennis coach based in Brooklyn, New York. I have 25 years of experience in tennisβI played at a high level myself and also competed in NCAA Division 1 college tennis. For the past eight years, I have been fully dedicated to coaching. Through my work at various clubs, I have gained extensive experience, which I now want to apply to my own tennis club.

I have been a high-level competitive tennis player for many years, progressing through USTA tournaments on into the Division I collegiate level at Sacred Heart University. Before Sacred Heart, I played a couple of years at Division III Allegheny College where I was a two-time all-conference singles selection, became captain as a junior and was a representative of the team on the student athletic advisory committee. At Sacred Heart, I was named captain my senior season and received the student-athlete award for the highest GPA on the team after my first semester. In addition to my playing experience, I have many years of coaching experience. I am a current RSPA Elite Professional, and have organized and run my own private lessons and programs. I have also coached at various country and athletic clubs in Northern NJ and New York, along with having been an assistant menβs coach at Army West Point. I am sometimes available at the Jersey Shore in the summer as well.

Age 4 to 6 is a great time to start lessons for kids. For children in this age group I recommend 30 minute sessions. Focus of these lessons initially are largely free association play centered around becoming familiar with the ball and racquets and identifying a left of right handed dominance and having fun!
