About your tennis coach
I played division 1 tennis for University of Hartford. Since than I take pride in being one of the busiest USTA Eastern tournament Men’s player. I’ve achieved numerous age division #1 rankings in the East as well as national rankings. I like to share some of my experience to my students. I’ve been a certified member of the USTA for about 30 years as well as over 30 years experience as a full time tennis instructor

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWill go over basic strokes the forehand and backhand. We’ll focus on the grip and breakdown the fundamentals of the strokes
Lesson 11+Finally we’ll do more intense rally’s and drills focusing on strategies and consistency
Lesson 4-10Now we’ll focus on improving your shot accuracy and control by different variation of rally’s. We’ll also introduce you to volleys serves and simple game strategies.
Lesson 2-3We’ll build on your initial skills and reinforce what you already learned and show you positioning and footwork
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonWell look at your stroke mechanics and correct any deficiency. We’ll conduct a thorough assessment of your current play to tailor lessons to your specific needs I’m available for hitting sessions for advanced players
Lesson 11+We’ll refine your overall play thru intense practice sessions emphasizing stroke mechanics,shot placement and strategy
Lesson 4-10We’ll delve into advanced strategy for both singles and doubles and focus on shot selection and positioning
Lesson 2-3Well practice advanced such as topspin drop shots and approach shots

Working with kidsWhen teaching kids I try to make my lessons fun and engaging using various games and drills while always emphasizing building a strong foundation of there skills
Working with teenagersWhen teaching teenagers I try balance my lessons emphasizing skill development thru advanced drills that focus on both physical fitness and teamwork
What you need to bringI have balls and ball hoppers. Students just need to bring a racquet and wear comfortable clothes to run around in and sneakers
