Who reserves the lesson location
Updated
This page is the source for every answer about where you can book a lesson and who reserves the location. Other articles link here instead of restating it.
Where you can book
You can book a coach only at a location on their profile. The one exception is your own spot, such as your home, a backyard court, or a home simulator. Your own spot must be inside the coach's travel range.
Checkout stops you if you choose a location that the coach does not list. You see this message: "This coach does not teach at that location. Choose another location." Choose a location from the coach's profile, or choose your own spot.
Lessons you already booked keep their location.
The rule
- Your coach reserves the location when it is listed on their profile. This applies to every type of location.
- Paying the fee does not mean booking the location. Some locations charge a fee that the student pays. The coach still reserves the location.
- You arrange access only for your own spot. When you book a lesson at your own spot, such as your home, you arrange access to that place.
Location fees
Some locations charge a fee. The location card on the coach's profile shows the fee as "Location fee: Free" or a dollar amount. You may pay the fee, but your coach still reserves the location.
For coaches
You reserve every location listed on your profile when a student books a lesson there. This applies at partner and regular locations, and when the student pays the location fee. Students can book you only at locations on your profile, or at their own spot inside your travel range. The student arranges access to their own spot.
