My name is Diego Motivar, and I bring over 15 years of experience as a tennis coach to the Naples, FL community. Born and raised in Colombia, tennis has been my lifelong passion, and I proudly achieved success as the number one junior player in Colombia in both the 16s and 18s categories. My coaching journey has taken me through various settings, including tennis camps, college coaching, and private clubs like Columbus State University, The Field Club of Greenwich, and Quail West Golf and Country Club. With a proven track record of teaching players at all levels, I’m excited to share my expertise and enthusiasm with new clients in Naples.

Directed Woodbury Racquet Club major teaching academy and outstanding Summer Tennis Camp . Owner/ director of Tennis club at Old Fields , a top Tournament host club on Long Island, NY I hired and developed academy lesson plans for hundreds of teaching pros for our thousands of students for over 25 years. Competed locally and became the top Singles & Doubles player at 4 Clubs . Captained and played on numerous USTA Leagues, winning matches up to the National Level Most memorable Match: Playing against John McEnroe and winning some games ! After my NY clubs were sold , I moved to Naples FL and started coaching all level and age students.. I hope to meet you and your family soon . PTR certified tennis instructor with 13+ years of playing experience and 5+ years of coaching experience. I began coaching as an Assistant Tennis Pro at the Cape Coral Yacht Club and currently serve as Director of Junior Tennis at The Courts Cape Coral. I specialize in junior development, camps, clinics, and private instruction. I am also a 5th-grade teacher and am currently earning my M.S. in Athletic Coaching from Florida State University.

I attended Central Michigan University playing number 1 in both singles and doubles. I began my teaching career with the Mid American Tennis Academy and after leaving there had a brief stint playing on the satellite circuit. When those dreams of greatness evaporated, I resumed my teaching career at the Bollettieri Tennis Academy and later The Colony Beach and Tennis resort. I have experience with all levels, high performance, intermediate club players as well as beginners.

I am A USPTA certified tennis instructor. I have been teaching tennis over 20 yrs! I still compete as a 4.5 rated player. I teach adults and kids!
