I am passionate about teaching the sport that I love from beginners all the way up to the upper-level intermediate skill level surfer. On my own time, I primarily ride shortboards but have extensive experience riding longboards (which is what I primarily teach). Working at summer camps as a water ski instructor and lifeguard, I have experience teaching children water sports. For kids, it is very important to choose equipment and surf conditions that are suitable not only for their age but their skill level and water competency. Just as important though, is making them feel secure and confident throughout the lesson. Therefore it is key that the parent or guardian work with me to tailor the lesson for their child(ren).
