Hailing from the coastal paradise of Chile, I've spent the last 18 years riding the waves and honing my surfing skills. For the past 4 years, I've been sharing my passion for surfing through teaching lessons, helping countless individuals discover the thrill of riding the waves. With a deep love for the sport, I excel at breaking down techniques and providing personalized guidance to help students learn and improve quickly. Join me for a surf session, and I'll have you catch waves and ride confidently from your first lesson. Let's hit the surf and make unforgettable memories together! … please if this is your first surf lesson or you last experience surfing was over a year, book me for at least 1.5 or 2 hrs. Is my obligation as surf instructor to teach you the basics to go safe to the water, so be prepared to spend 25-30 minutes in the sand learning, only for your first lesson. After your first lesson 1 hour lessons are ok, I’ll just check your pop up, give you a few pointers and then we hit the ocean🤙🏽… looking forward to see your smile after you catch your first wave 🌊 yewww!!

So surfing, the coolest thing you can do. I'm from Texas so not much surf out here. It was my bucket list to learn how to surf. So I figured where else to learn how to surf but California. Sunshine, beautiful woman, and well you know what else. Any ways. I booked a flight got a room in Santa Monica and booked lessons with Claudio. I show up and he was already waiting playing the ukulele (cool). So we spent about 30 min on the sand going thru safety and proper form. After that right to the water. Claudio explained everything very well and he put me on my first wave and I caught it. The feeling was amazing. Our session was 2 hours which I recommend. The rest of the time we spent working on form and wave identification. Who knew surfing was more mental than physical. A lot to know and Claudio had it all down. Cool dude and put on great waves back to back. Will definitely hit up Claudio next time I'm in Cali so he can put me on some choice waves. Thanks Claudio one more think off the bucket list.

Hey! I just had my first lesson with Claudio, and it was an amazing experience. If you're considering taking surfing lessons, I highly recommend him. Claudio is a phenomenal teacher, whether you're a beginner or if you just want to improve your surfing skills. He gave me valuable pointers on areas to improve, and I could feel my skills progressing. He was also thorough in his explanations, making sure I understood why we did everything. While we were in the water, I always felt safe knowing he had my back. I’m excited to continue working with him and improving my surfing skills. I recently took a lesson with Claudio, he was absolutely amazing!! This was my first time surfing and he was great. He first starts with an outside of the water lesson and breaks down the board, the steps to pop up and where to put your feet, and safety. Then in the water he knows exacty which type of wave is for your level and tells you when to pop up and what to do with the board. He really handles everything, knows his skills very well, and gets you to surf!! I was able to ride the waves and it was so exciting!! I highly recommend taking a lesson with him, he is phenomenal. :)

Had an awesome first session with Claudio this morning! He was very thorough with our work on the sand, clear on how to keep yourself safe in all the events that can take place on the water, gave great instruction, and I like that he breaks down the “pop up” in more steps than what is typically are taught. He’s a super teacher, has an awesome vibe, and he really gives you a solid experience actually surfing 🏄🏽‍♂️. I purchased a 3 pack of lessons with him and am stoked to finish the last two with him, getting more time on the water SURFING!

I surfed with Claudio and got so hooked on the waves thanks to him. I can actually catch a wave and learned to enjoy surfing a lot. He is a very good teacher and very friendly, with a perfect blend of motivating, encouraging and keeping you safe and focused. He also has a structure of how to evolve you through multiple classes so talk to him about your goals wether it is a one time bucket list experience or actually learning to do turns and surf on your own. What you need to bringIf you have your equipment please bring it if not I can provide boards and some sizes of suits. Also when we go to the water we don’t bring much more than suits and board, so you don’t need much for your lesson with me. Also if you are looking to get good at the art of riding waves, I encourage you to start looking to buy your own suit and board, I can provide help for that.

Cancellation Policy

We totally understand that life can be unpredictable and plans might change. That's why we've got your back with our flexible cancellation policy, designed to give you peace of mind when booking private sports lessons with our awesome local instructors!

If you need to cancel your lesson, no worries! You can get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of making your booking. We want to make the process as hassle-free as possible for you.

And if you simply want to reschedule your lesson, change the date and time, or adjust the number of students joining, we've got you covered there too. You can easily make these changes within 24 hours of booking, and up to 72 hours before your lesson starts.
