My journey began as a college football player for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) from 2016 to 2021, where I had the honor of serving as team captain for two years. During my playing career, I earned Honorable Mention All-American in 2021, First Team All-Conference (PFF) in 2021, and Second Team All-Conference in 2019 and 2020. From 2023 to 2024, I returned to UNLV as a graduate assistant, coaching the Defensive Line. During my tenure, I was part of a historic period for UNLV football, contributing to the team's first bowl game appearance since 2012 and back-to-back conference championship games. I helped our defense rank in the top ten nationally for rush defense and top five for turnovers forced.

Hi, My name is DeWayne Edwards . I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada. I love lots of sports, including boxing football basketball and golf. I always say I would have been a boxer first... if I didn't see Roy Jones Jr. fight. Still love to watch. Football, my favorite team, is the 49ers. Basketball the Lakers. So, how did I find the greatest game ever played? That's simple it found me. While trying out for my high school football team, I got injured and discovered golf. That was 1997. The journey has given me unspeakable joy. Not to mention values like integrity, respect,patience, and resilience, just to name a few. Why teaching? Well put simply, to give back. I remember going to Craig Ranch Golf Course, where I played my 1st round and having felt so lost but determined to learn what it took to master my golf swing,create confidence and consistently repeat what I have seen on the Golf Channel. Hey, my name is Norman, and I’m from Houston Texas. I’ve played tennis my entire life, with most of my competition dating back to my high school days at the varsity level. Quit playing for a bit honestly, when I went to college. Then I graduated from Texas tech, moved to Vegas, and with all the beautiful scenery and desert landscape, how could I not pick up this long lost childhood hobby again? So I picked up my racket again and started hitting. Kept hitting and fell in love with the sport once again, and now recreationally compete in intramural leagues here in the Vegas area! However, I wanted to expand my expertise. Share my knowledge with those around me. "Coach Norman was great! I have had only had one lesson so far, but it was immediately clear how knowledgeable, skilled, and how much he genuinely loves tennis. Even with advanced concepts, he knows how to break everything down into smaller manageable pieces. I have little to no tennis experience or knowledge yet he was able to teach core concepts and made me noticeably improve after just one lesson with him. I fully intend to take more private lessons with him and am excited to see how much I can improve with his consistent coaching. Love his style of coaching and strongly recommend him for tennis players of all levels.
