Your first lessonHave the do drills to see how coordinated they are.

Lesson 11+Expect to learn the small details on their movement patterns and why everything they do is critical. Give them more information on why this drills is being ran and why it’s going to translate to the field. They should start feeling comfortable with themselves and developing confidence.

Lesson 4-10They should expect more reps and detailed training. They should Be familiar with the drills. Depending on the development I will adjust to what is needed.

Lesson 2-3Depending on the first lesson. I will have them warm up and do a lot of agility drills and change of direction movements and then get into position specific drills.

How it works

Advanced training plan

Your first lessonThe first lesson I would do with them is have them do agility drills to see how their movement patterns are because no matter how advanced the players you still have to see what they struggle in. And after that, go from there and adjust the training.

Lesson 11+The remaining lessons will be more intense, and I would expect a lot of detail teaching and coaching because the player knows what is expected from the drills.

Lesson 4-10Players should feel more confident I will still have them do agility drills, and other moving pattern drills because you could never not have enough of it. And then start working on drills that the player struggles in so for example, visa could tackler I’m not going to do a lot of tackling drills. I’m going to work on drills that can improve his weaknesses..

Lesson 2-3I will still have him do with Jody drills and movement pattern drills because those are great drills to do before you get into position specific drills. The position specific drills will translate to the game. The drill will consist of hand combat training blocking drills and how to properly tackle.

Youth players

Working with kidsWorking with kids it’s all about patients and everything’s not going to be perfect but the biggest thing that is expected is this one meaning of the player messes up he’s going to have to do something small for punishment can be push-ups up downs or any type of running just to build the foundation of understand understanding what is wrong and right. In the process, I’m still going to have to make the training enjoyable by introducing drills that can be fun and make them enjoy the game.

Working with teenagersWorking with teenagers is going to be challenging because they want to see results quickly and don’t understand it takes time in order to see results so my strategy is is to record them doing a drill and then a couple sessions later I show them the video and they see the results or see how they used to move when performing the drills so I can instill confidence in them that the drills are working. Because the teenagers want to see results. But in the process, I’m giving them life lessons and lessons. I wish I learned when I was their age and tell them what it takes to make it to college..

About your football coach

Former College Football Player | Defensive Line Coach | Compliance Manager I am a dedicated and passionate professional with a diverse background in athletics, coaching, security, and compliance. My journey began as a college football player for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) from 2016 to 2021, where I had the honor of serving as team captain for two years. During my playing career, I earned Honorable Mention All-American in 2021, First Team All-Conference (PFF) in 2021, and Second Team All-Conference in 2019 and 2020. From 2023 to 2024, I returned to UNLV as a graduate assistant, coaching the Defensive Line. During my tenure, I was part of a historic period for UNLV football, contributing to the team's first bowl game appearance since 2012 and back-to-back conference championship games. I helped our defense rank in the top ten nationally for rush defense and top five for turnovers forced.
