How do notifications work in the Student App?

The Student App keeps your lesson updates, reminders, and progress reports in one list.
See Your Notifications
- Open the Student App
- Tap the bell at the top of the Home screen
A red badge on the bell shows how many notifications are new. The Notifications list groups them under Today, Yesterday, and Earlier. Pull down to refresh.
When you open the list, all notifications are marked as read.
Tap a notification to open what it is about, such as a lesson, a progress report, or a chat.
What Shows in the List
- Lessons that are booked, accepted, declined, canceled, or rescheduled
- Progress reports from your coach
- Thank-you messages from your coach
- Your friend referral rewards
- Missed calls from your coach. See How to contact your coach?
Find Lesson History in a Chat
Lesson updates no longer show inside your chats. To see them for one coach:
- Open the chat with your coach
- Tap the … button
- Tap Lesson history
Choose Your Lesson Reminders
- On the Home screen, open the menu
- Tap Notification settings
- Under Lesson reminders, turn Day of lesson, 1 day before, or 1 hour before on or off
You can also turn Vibrations on or off on the same screen.
If Notifications Are Off
If your phone blocks notifications from the Student App, a Notifications are off card shows on Home. Turn notifications back on in your phone settings:
- iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Student App
- Android: Settings → Apps → Student App → Notifications
