How do progress reports work?

A progress report is a short summary your coach writes after a lesson. It shows how your skills are coming along and what to practice next.
What a Progress Report Includes
- Skill development: a score from 0 to 100 for each skill your coach worked on, with a level name such as Beginner or Proficient. Skills your coach did not score are listed as Not covered.
- Lesson summary: what you worked on in the lesson
- Practice: what to practice before your next lesson
- Photos and videos: up to 10, from your coach
For Students: Find Your Reports
When your coach sends a report, you get a notification: {Coach} sent your progress report 📈. Tap it to open the report.
You can also find every report in the Student App:
- Tap the Progress tab
- Tap a report to open it
The Progress tab also shows your week streak, lessons, and hours. After you have 2 or more reports, a Skill trends tab shows how your scores change over time.
The photos and videos from a report also go to your chat with your coach, in a From progress reports folder.
Thank Your Coach
At the bottom of a report, tap Tip & say thanks or Just say thanks. If your coach does not accept tips, tap Say thanks 👍. See How does tipping work?
To reply to your coach about a report, send a message in your chat.
For Coaches: Send a Progress Report
You can start a report from:
- Add progress report on a completed lesson
- The Progress report item in your To do list on Home
- Send a Progress Report in your chat with the student
- Tap to send a progress report when a student asks for one
A report has five steps:
- Skills: score each skill from 0 to 100 with the slider. Score at least one skill to continue.
- Lesson summary: type, or talk and tap Summarize for me.
- Practice: say what the student should practice before the next lesson.
- Photos and videos: tap Add photos or videos to add up to 10 from your photo library, or tap Skip.
- Review: check each section, then tap Send to student.
Choose Your Skill Categories
You can have up to 10 skill categories for each skill you teach. They apply to every report for that skill. Open Skill categories to add your own, pick from Suggested categories, or hold and drag to reorder them.
