"Tom is deeply knowledgeable and a very interesting and affable individual. I wasn’t able to do anything physically today due to me, not Tom. But I nonetheless got an excellent lesson.

I'm Coach Darren and I specialize in improving skills through targeted drills with a pickleball machine. My focus is on addressing weaknesses and specific shots such as more consistent and powerful backhands, hitting speedups and defending them, third shot drops, topspin rolls, resets, countering slices and dinking and flicks. By emphasizing technique and repetition, I help players improve their confidence on the shots, reduce errors and win more.
"Great coaching technique. Darren helped me improve my skill level and genuinely care about my progress.

Kids pick things up easily but also have smaller reach. I work with them to utilize and figure out strengths to build strong players. I grow with them to adapt their game to their age.

If kids are under 8, it’s about engagement and having fun. Lots of encouragement, making each shot part of a noncompetitive game. Ages 8-13 is when skills training is ideal. Can be the most intensive age where a child wants to develop their game and needs lots of repetition with hitting partners of similar ability.
