I’m Michael Byrd, Jr. I have over 20 years of experience as an athlete beginning as a youth athlete. I have played Division 1 college football and I hold two degrees from Texas Christian University and Valparaiso University. I have also played professional football at the arena/indoor level and professionally in Brazil. I have played Wide Receiver/ Cornerback/ Running Back/ Safety/Kick Return/Punt Return throughout the course of my career.

However, if requested, lessons can be altered to add an additional student upon request.

I have around 4 years of coaching experience. Mostly with other students at my university who are beginners and want to start learning guitar, but don't want to sign up for school music classes. I work with mainly beginners of all ages who want to start learning the basics of the instrument.

I blend strategic precision with spirited play to develop confident, skilled volleyball players. With 8 years teaching competitive and recreational volleyball, I focus on fundamentals, tactical awareness, and positive development to help athletes reach their goals while enjoying the sport. I work with all ages from the young ones to high school athletes. Our first lesson we will get to know each other and I will assess your current skill so I can make a plan for the path forward!

I've worked with ages 2 and up from beginner to advanced swimmers being advised by some of the greatest athletes in the New Orleans Metro area since the 1990s. I'm personable and patient with beginner lessons centered around the basic life skill of swimming to save lives. Advanced lessons focus on skill technique and speed.
