Coach Mike’s deep understanding of technique and mechanics is impressive. He can dissect your strokes with precision and then show you exactly how it’s done – because he’s still playing at a high level himself. His lessons feel like a masterclass with someone who knows what it takes to compete. I have trained with a handful of coaches throughout my junior career, but non of them put their heart into my game like coach. Don’t think I would have as much success without him.

Your first lessonI assess a new student’s general understanding of tennis & will go over all of the basics if need be.
Everyone is different! I analyze things like your balance, coordination, court movement, and ability to manipulate a racket; then throw a few technicalities at you. I pay close attention to if/ how well you are conceptualizing the technical instruction.
Some exceptional beginners can pick up what I put down instantly, and translate a mechanical idea I just introduced into physical motion within a few tries. If this the case, I’ll get deep into everything immediately & most likely have the player crushing the ball and league ready in a few weeks if they are motivated. Others struggle to grasp basic concepts or lack coordination… This is fine! We’ll just slow it down, keep it simple, find your strength, and have fun! The reality is that most new players sit somewhere in the middle. Nonetheless, I cater my instruction & progression specifically to the individual.
