I’ve been passionate about tennis for over 20 years, thanks to my father who introduced me to the game at a young age. I earned my coaching certification from The Professional Tennis Registry in 2021 and have since coached for Nike Tennis Camps, Smoke Rise Country Club, and offered private lessons. As a former Division II college player, I also volunteered at an afterschool program, where I had the chance to teach kids tennis alongside a local coach. This experience, along with four years of coaching at Reading & Requests, taught me the value of listening to students and using positive reinforcement to foster rapid improvement. At the age of 17, Greg was already working at a local course doing maintenance, carts, helping in the golf shop and learning the golf business. Working in the pro shop gave Greg the opportunity to interact with members and develop relationships that continue to this day. There is where Greg fell in love with the game and his passion has only grown stronger through his career. Desiring to become golf professional, Greg enrolled in the Golf Academy of the Carolinas. While there Greg developed a particular focus on methods of teaching and the three phases of learning. He came to understand that everyone was unique and learned the game in different ways. With this new-found awareness, Greg knew he wanted to make Golf and coaching part of his career. Once graduated from the Golf Academy, Greg’s journey took him to Callaway Gardens. There Greg was able to test what he had learned, keep what produced the best results, develop and refine his way of communication and teaching style. It was at Callaway where Greg developed a keen understanding of how to diagnose and correct ball flight to a player’s preference. After Callaway Greg moved on to Highland Country Club in Lagrange, Georgia.
