About your tennis coach

With over 18 years of hands-on tennis experience, I bring a lifelong passion for the game and a strong foundation in technique, strategy, and athletic discipline. While I am new to coaching, my approach is built on nearly two decades of personal dedication, competitive play, and a deep understanding of the sport’s physical and mental demands. I specialize in helping players develop solid fundamentals, improve match confidence, and build mental toughness—skills I’ve honed through years of personal play and training. My goal is to foster a positive and motivating environment where players can grow their game, whether they’re beginners learning the basics or intermediate players looking to refine their form and strategy. I am currently welcoming students of all ages and levels who are eager to learn, grow, and enjoy the game of tennis with a coach who truly loves the sport and understands what it takes to improve

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonFor a first lesson with a beginner, I focus on creating a positive, low-pressure environment that builds confidence and introduces the basics. I start by learning about the player’s goals and experience, then move into a light warm-up and simple footwork. From there, I introduce core fundamentals like grip, ready position, and forehand technique using short, controlled drills. I keep instruction simple, focus on one or two key points, and give lots of encouragement. The goal is to make the game feel approachable, enjoyable, and to build a strong foundation for future lessons.
Lesson 4-10Lesson 4: • Reinforce forehand and backhand with more rally-based drills. • Introduce the basic serve motion (starting with shadow swings, then slow feeds). • Emphasize toss consistency and proper contact point. Lesson 5: Build confidence with the serve through repetition. • Introduce return of serve using simple feeds. • Combine serve + return into mini-points or cooperative play. • Continue developing consistency on groundstrokes.
Lesson 2-3For the second lesson: In the second lesson, I reinforce the fundamentals introduced in Lesson 1—especially grip, stance, and the forehand. I review with warm-up drills and then introduce the backhand. We work on consistent contact and controlled rallying, using simple feeding drills. I also introduce basic footwork patterns and start building rally awareness. The focus stays on repetition, comfort, and confidence. For the third lesson: In the third lesson, I continue developing groundstrokes (forehand and backhand) with more live-ball movement. I introduce the concept of recovery position and court awareness, gradually adding more dynamic footwork. Players may start short rallying with me or a partner. If they’re ready, I introduce basic volleys or the serve in a very simplified form. The goal is to increase consistency, build rhythm, and deepen their understanding of the game.
