How do I send a video analysis?

Video analysis lets you talk a student through a clip of their swing, stroke, or form. You record your voice while you play, pause, slow down, and draw on the video. Then you send it to the student's chat.
Open Video Analysis
In the Coach App, you can open it from:
- The Analyze shortcut on the Home screen
- The + menu in a student chat: tap Video analysis
- A student's details: open more options and tap Video feedback
- A video in a chat: tap the camera icon next to Download
Allow Access the First Time
The app asks for your media library, camera, and microphone on the Video analysis permissions screen. It needs all three before you can continue. If you turned one off before, turn it back on in your phone's Settings.
Record Your Analysis
- Tap Library to choose a clip, or Tap to record to film a new one
- Tap Use this clip
- Tap Rec and talk through the clip
- While you record, play and pause the video, change the Speed, and draw on it
- Tap Stop when you finish
Recording stops at 15 minutes. You cannot record during a phone call.
Tools in the Editor
- Drawing tools: pen, line, arrow, angle, ruler, and circle, in 7 colors and different line widths. Undo, redo, and erase as you go.
- Pose: shows a body outline over the player
- Motion trail: follows one body joint across the clip
- Speed: 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, or 2x
- Cam on / Cam off: shows or hides your camera in a small bubble
- Frame: saves a marked-up still image instead of a video
Send It to Your Student
- Check your work on the preview screen
- Tap Send to student. If you started from Home, choose the student and tap Send video.
You can also save the video to your phone, or discard it.
The analysis goes to your chat with the student as a video or an image. It is not added to a progress report.
Key Points
After you send a video with a voiceover, the app writes 1 to 5 key points from what you said. They show as a draft in your message box. Edit the draft, then send it or delete it.
