How do students find me in search?
Updated
When a student searches for a skill near them, TeachMe.To shows the coaches who teach that skill in that area. Your place in that list depends on your Happy Student Score.
Before you can show in search
- Your profile must be live. A draft or a profile in review does not show in search. See How long does profile review take?
- You must have at least one open lesson time in the next 7 days. If you have no open times this week, you do not show in search. See Setting up your Availability
Your Happy Student Score
Your Happy Student Score sets your place in search. A higher score puts you higher in the list.
The score compares you with coaches who teach the same skill in your area. We update it every night.
To see your score, open the Coach App and tap your Happy Student Score on the Home screen.
What raises your score
- Students book more lessons with you. This is the biggest part of your score. Weekly lessons and clear goals help students come back.
- Few students ask for a refund. This is the second biggest part.
- You teach the lessons your students buy.
- Students who view your profile book a lesson. A complete profile with clear photos and a clear bio helps. See How do I set up my profile?
- Few students switch to another coach because of you.
Keep all lessons, messages, and payments in the Coach App. Lessons outside TeachMe.To do not count toward your score.
If you are a new coach
Before your first student books, you have no score yet. You start with a neutral score, so you can show in search.
Each search shows a limited number of new coaches. You might not show in every search at first. After your first students book with you, your own score sets your place.
Where you show
Students search near where they want to take lessons. Add the places where you teach, so students near those places can find you. See Setting up your Locations
