Setting up your Availability
Updated
Setting up your Locations and Availability is essential for Students to find you and book sessions with confidence. You can manage both in the Coach App or on the coach dash at app.teachme.to, and keeping them updated is one of the best ways to increase your bookings.
Set Your Availability
Step-by-Step
- Open the Coach App
- Tap Profile at the bottom
- Select Step 7: Add Availability
Availability is what Students see when trying to book you, so keeping it accurate is key.
Tips for Setting Effective Availability
- Add blocks of time consistently each week
- Keep your posted schedule realistic and bookable
- Update availability whenever your routine changes
Students rely on your posted availability when selecting coaches, and clear schedules convert significantly better.
Minimum notice
Minimum notice is how far ahead a student must schedule a lesson with you. It stops students from picking a time you have no chance to prepare for.
- The default is 18 hours.
- You can set any whole number of hours from 2 to 48.
- You can count all hours, or daytime hours only. Daytime hours run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in your time zone, so overnight hours do not count.
What students see for a time inside your minimum notice:
- If you accept requests outside your set hours, students can still ask for that time. They see a warning that you may not be able to make it.
- If you do not accept requests outside your set hours, the time shows as unavailable.
- Students who pay when they schedule, such as at checkout or on your coach site, cannot pick that time. They can message you to ask about an earlier time.
Student opportunities outside your hours
When we invite you to a student opportunity, the invite tells you if the time the student asked for is outside your weekly hours, inside your minimum notice, or on a day you have time off. The push notification and text also say when the time is outside your usual hours.
- If you have time off that day, Suggest a different time is selected for you, whatever your setting. You can still take the time the student asked for.
- Otherwise, if you accept requests outside your set hours, That time works for me stays selected. Take the time or suggest another one.
- Otherwise, if you do not accept requests outside your set hours, Suggest a different time is selected for you. You can still take the time the student asked for. In the Coach App, tap Allow requests outside your hours on the invite to change the setting.
Taking Time Off
If you need a break for vacation, travel, tournaments, or personal time, you don’t have to delete your availability.
Tap “Time Off” to temporarily mark yourself as unavailable.
You can set:
- Specific dates
- Full days
- Partial hours
This prevents new bookings during those times and ensures Students aren’t caught by surprise.
