How do I change my skill or choose a focus?

Each TeachMe.To profile is for one skill. You choose the skill when you sign up. You cannot change the skill on a profile, but you can start a new profile for another skill.
Teach a different skill
You can add a skill after you submit your first profile for review.
In the Coach App
- Tap Profile.
- Tap your skill at the top right of the screen.
- Tap Teach another skill. The coach dash opens in your browser.
- In Skill, select the skill you want to teach.
- Tap Start profile.
On the coach dash
- Log in at app.teachme.to.
- Open TeachMe.To listing.
- Click Teach another skill.
- In Skill, select the skill you want to teach.
- Click Start profile.
Complete the new profile, then submit it for review. The new profile copies your name, your photo, and your availability. Your reviews stay on the profile where students left them.
If your only profile is a draft for the wrong skill, contact support.
Stop showing a profile
If you no longer teach a skill, you can deactivate the profile for that skill. You can deactivate a profile that is live.
- Coach App: tap Profile, then tap TeachMe.To profile. Tap Deactivate profile.
- Coach dash: open Settings. Under Profile visibility on TeachMe.To, click Deactivate my TeachMe.To profile.
If you have more than one profile, tap your skill at the top right of the Profile screen to switch profiles first.

Choose a focus
Specializations
Specializations show students the areas you focus on, so the right students find you.
- Coach App: tap Profile, then tap TeachMe.To profile. Under About you, tap Accomplishments & credentials, then tap Specializations.
- Coach dash: open Full profile details. Under About you, click Accomplishments & credentials, then click Specializations.
Some skills do not have specializations. For those skills, the Coach App does not show the Specializations row.

Skill categories
Skill categories are the skills you track in progress reports for your students. They do not change your focus on your profile. To edit them, open TeachMe.To profile. Under Your lessons, tap Skill categories.
