Work with student to understand their areas of weakness and areas they want to focus on improving. Will also use this lesson to further evaluate or assess competence in basics. Development of a future lesson plan will follow future lessons. I asses all players as a whole person. I will need the player to approach this initial lesson with humility and vulnerability. This implies have been very open conversation to identify areas outside of the game that are either helping the player or hurting the player in terms of their performance and desire.οΏΌ

My lesson plan is the same for all ages, but I adjust based on where the student is at in their development. If a student is just starting out, I will scale back significantly. Coaching a younger student is only as successful as the parentsβ participation to helping the student understand more and more outside of lessons.
