Throughout his career, Andrew has worked as a hitting coach for numerous top-tier players, including Anne Christine Lutkemeyer (Blue Chip, UTR 11, full-ride UCLA), Maxine Murphy (5-star, UTR 10, full-ride University of Washington), Max Pham (Blue Chip, UTR 11, full-ride UC Davis), Alan Ton (5-star, UTR 11, full-ride Army), and Haley Tran (5-star, UTR 9, rising sophomore). In addition to coaching these exceptional athletes, Andrew also served as Captain and Coach for the Vietnam Tennis Team, participating in major international events such as the Federation Cup in Kazakhstan (2013), Davis Cup in Sri Lanka (2011), Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia (2011), and the Asian Games in China (2010). Andrew’s coaching philosophy is grounded in his passion for teaching players of all ages and skill levels. Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, he was head coach of Worcester Academy’s varsity tennis team, and worked as an assistant pro at Westboro Tennis and Swim Club in Westboro, MA. He also spent 2 years as Worcester Academy’s middle school coach, and one year as coach of the JV team at St. Marks School in Southborough, MA. In Stamford, he worked with adult USTA teams from 2.5 - 5.0. Alex played college tennis at Sacred Heart University (Fairfield, CT) where he was team captain and named all conference 3 consecutive years. There he consistently finished in the top 3 of the NEC conference (Division 1). In addition, he has played guitar in a punk-rock band and toured the country and Europe. He released 3 CDs along the way.
