About Bill

Fueled from a life long passion for racquet sports including playing for UC Irvine tennis 1986-1990, I became a dedicated pickleball enthusiast in January 2021. I started at over 190 lbs and currently am at 160 lbs and in the best shape I have been for the last 20+ years, so I know the benefits of pickleball. Not to mention the wide array of good friends I have made over the years. I currently compete at the Senior Pro level and my DUPR rating is over 5.0 in both singles and doubles. I work with all levels of pickleball players and have coached students now competing at the professional level. I am an IPTPA certified instructor and my teaching philosophy is not just about how to swing the paddle, but teaching the art of pickleball - strategy, spins, footwork, and how to get the most out of your game.

What students say...

"Bill is patient and objective in his coaching style so it is always very comfortable working with him. Great at observing movements that need to be corrected. He is actively involved in the coaching session.

What pickleball coaches in Fullerton, California can help you work on

Private pickleball lessons in Fullerton are built around your goals. Whatever you want to improve, a coach can focus each session on it. Here are the areas coaches in Fullerton work on most.

Dinking and the soft game

Win at the kitchen line with controlled dinks, resets, and patience. Fullerton coaches build the soft game that decides most pickleball points.

Serve and return depth

Start each point on the front foot with a deep serve and return. A coach in Fullerton works on consistency, depth, and placement off both shots.

Third-shot drop and strategy

Master the third-shot drop and the transition to the net. Pickleball coaches in Fullerton teach when to drop, when to drive, and how to take the line.

Volleys, putaways, and net play

Speed up the game, defend the body, and finish points at the net. Fullerton coaches sharpen your hands, reaction time, and shot selection up front.

Footwork, positioning, and doubles

Move as a team, cover the middle, and stay in the right spot on the court. Pickleball coaches in Fullerton drill footwork and doubles strategy.

Kids & youth pickleball lessons in Fullerton, California

Looking for youth pickleball coaching in Fullerton? We match kids and teens — from first-timers to high-school and club players — with coaches who specialize in junior development. Private youth pickleball lessons run at the same weekly rate as adult lessons.

Vetted, background-checked pickleball coaches

Every coach who works with kids goes through identity and background screening before being matched with young students, and their safety vetting is shown on their profile — so you can book with confidence.

Every age and level, ages 5 to 18

Coaches in Fullerton teach juniors from as young as 5 through high-school and competitive athletes, tailoring each session to your child's age, level, and goals — whether that is first-time fundamentals, building confidence, or tryout and team prep.

Parents welcome at every pickleball lesson

Parents are welcome to stay and watch — many do, especially with younger kids — but it is never required. Either way, your coach shares progress and what to practice between lessons.

Coach Kyle

pickleball coach

I have worked with all of my nieces and nephews and many more kids throughout the years, I am great with kids and very patient. Kids tend to take a little more repetition and focus to help them understand concepts but many things also come very natural to them! Pickleball has a bright future for kids that get involved in it! The earlier the better!
