Beginner training plan
Your first lessonWe will go over the rules of the game, do dynamic stretching, and practice dinking (hitting the ball lightly near the net)
Lesson 11+Play practice rallies with full breakdowns and explanations on mistakes/strategy
Lesson 4-10- Learn good defense strategies
- Understand when to move to the kitchen and how to defend in the process
- Strengthen two handed backhands
- Improve on drinking success rate and shot placement
- Learn about lobs, speed ups, drives, drops and when to use these in game
- Ensure good form on all hits
- Understand set up’s for ATPs and Ernie’s
Lesson 2-3Practice serving and returning serves on both sides of the court. We will end the lesson with a practice game implementing the rules we learned in Lesson 1.

Working with kidsSame lesson but integrated with more mini games and water breaks
Working with teenagersIf they are learning fast, we can proceed to scored games and rallies within the first lesson
