Rhavie is a seasoned surfing coach with over 22 years of hands-on experience riding waves and exploring breaks all over the world. With more than two decades of dedicated coaching expertise, he specializes in helping surfers of all levels build unshakable ocean confidence, refine their technical skills, and unlock their full potential. Known for fostering a supportive, safe, and encouraging environment, Rhavie brings a deep, global perspective to every lesson—empowering students to connect with the sport and truly enjoy the ride.

"Surfing has been on my bucket list for years, and at 60+ I finally decided to give it a shot. I had my first lesson with Rhavie and had an absolute blast. Basketball has been my passion for as long as I can remember. A passion that carried me through four high school seasons, collegiate basketball and most recently a season coaching at a 6A high school in Utah. I have a deep understanding of the game and know what it takes to make an athlete great. As a coach my focus is on consistent development, both mentally and physically. My athletes will not only be given the tools to master technical skills, but excel in real game speed situations.

My teaching experience includes: cardio tennis, women’s tennis teams (A-D), children ages 4-17 and coaching high school tennis. If you enjoy tennis and want to learn new techniques or simply learn the sport it is a joy to coach! My teaching style is based on personal needs, if you want to play for fun then we’ll have a great time learning and improving strokes. If you are looking to improve at a competitive level I do offer footwork drills and fast paced drills.

With over a decade of volleyball experience, o have played competitively from middle school through college and continue to play in adult leagues today. I have played as an Outside hitter, DS, Middle, and Libero. My experience as both a player and coach has given me a strong understanding of the game, from developing fundamental skills to building competitive teams and strong team chemistry. I have coached with multiple clubs in Florida, Kansas, and Massachusetts, working with ages 12-18.

I have been surfing for about 11 years and have been coaching for about 5. In that time, I have worked in surf camps and private lessons with ages 5-50+. I love seeing the smile when someone catches their first wave and is hooked on the sport I love so much!

As a former collegiate basketball player from 2018-2023 and earned my bachelor’s in sports performance, health, and fitness. As a player i understand that life is more than just basketball. I try to instill in people more than just basketball such as integrity, honesty, respect, effort, etc. We are all human and we make mistakes but taking ownership and responsibility, the effort to mend and want to get better is what matters. I also focus on injury prevention. Pre and post stretch and strength.

I am a Florida-certified educator with 29+ years of education. I'm certified in Middle School Mathematics(Grades 5-9) and have dedicated my career to helping students build confidence and achieve success in mathematics. I have taught students in grades 6-9, including Algebra 1, Geometry, and middle school math courses. Algebra is one of my greatest passions, while helping students develop a deep understanding of mathematics while strengthening their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
