About your tennis coach

Hello! My name is Jacob Bueno. I’ve played tennis for 9 yrs and Coaching about 5yrs. Some of my notable accomplishments include three Valley Champion titles, two California Classic Tournament titles, four CIF League Champion titles, Rookie of the Year, and two-time MVP for various teams. I am currently an undergraduate student studying Physics at UC Irvine. Furthermore, I am a PTR (Professional Tennis Registered) Level 1 certified coach. This includes being proficient in teach students of all ages from 5–40yrs+. CPR certified and SafePlay background check certificated.

Your first lessonOur first lesson will comprise of basic grips, stances, and movement/coordination with the tennis ball. This includes but is not limited to; forehand, backhand, and volleys.
Lesson 11+Finally, we will focus on improving shot accuracy and depth/direction control in real game scenarios with focus in point construction and match play. Here we will also dive into slightly harder concepts such as topspin/under-spin that will ready you for intermediate play.
Lesson 4-10Once the basic grips and movements are now well established, we will focus on a high volume of hitting with the intention of high consistency and long rallying techniques. We will also introduce the serve technique if not already.
Lesson 2-3Depending on your ability to move and properly track the tennis ball, we will begin implementing basic court positioning and/with greater difficulty of shots.
