I’m currently the Assistant Coach for Brown University Women’s Tennis Team and a former Division I player at Oklahoma State. I’ve also played professionally on the ATP Tour and represented the Philippines in the Davis Cup. Whether you’re just starting out, getting ready for tournaments, or just want to hit and improve your game, I bring years of experience coaching all levels—from young juniors to high-level college players. Passionate tennis player with a decade+ of experience. I've excelled at various levels, from high school varsity to college club teams (Ohio State University and Ohio University tennis club alumnus). Previously, I was a full-time tennis professional and Director of Tennis and Pickleball @ Wedgewood Golf and Country Club in Columbus, OH training players of all ages. I have also been the Assistant Tennis Coach of the Girl’s Varsity Team for Westerville South High School (Westerville, OH) for the past two years. During the past winter I was a part-time tennis professional @ Wickertree Tennis Club in Columbus, OH and coached the 3.5 Career Ladies’ USTA Team. Additionally, I have a strong background playing USTA Tournaments (20-6 all time in USTA doubles according to ITF World Tennis Number) 2026 USTA League Midwest Ohio Valley District Champion 18+ 2026 USTA League Midwest Ohio Valley State Qualifier 18+ I have a Bachelors degree in Evolution, Ecology, and Organismal Biology, a Masters degree in Biomedical Science, 2 years of medical school, a Certification in the Practice of Data Analytics, and I am currently studying for my next Masters in Bioinformatics at Northeastern University. If you are someone who has a STEM background, I excel at communicating tennis techniques and concepts in terms that STEM professionals can relate to and understand because I have a comprehensive knowledge of the biophysics, muscles, and fine motor feelings that one needs to be aware of when executing mechanics. I fell in love with tennis at age 10 or 11. It quickly became the thing I cared most about for the better part of my life. It is a sport for a lifetime, and it will always be my first love. I started teaching tennis in 2011 after earning my teaching certification with the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR). It’s always fun to introduce a new player to this game or to work with a player who is passionate about tennis and wants to learn more. I look forward to meeting new students and sharing my passion for tennis with them.

Chen Chen was hired as the head women's tennis coach at Salem State in 2022. Chen has been the head mens' tennis coach since 2020 after playing for the Vikings for four seasons. A two-time captain of the Salem State men's tennis team. He earned first and second team All-Little East Conference honors three separate times during his career. Chen captained Salem State to just their second Little East Conference Tournament Championship and fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. His 29 doubles wins currently rank second all-time in program history. A Dean's List member, he was a three-time All-Little East All-Academic selection and three-time National Scholar Athlete Day Award winner. Chen also became the first former player and head coach to win the LEC conference in 2023. Currently live in North Andover, MA.

During my four years at Brockton High School, I was frequently featured in the Brockton Enterprise newspaper for my achievements. I continued my tennis career at Salem State University, winning two championships and participating in the NCAA tournaments twice. My accolades include being a 4-time First Team All-Conference honoree, and I am currently among the top 10 players with the most games won in Salem State history. I have been coaching for three years, working with players of all levels.
