Raised by a single mother who couldn’t afford to send me to an academy or pay for private lessons, I grew up training in group sessions. Despite the challenges, I fell in love with tennis and dedicated myself to the sport. Six years later, I became the No. 1 player in Turkmenistan for the 18-and-under category.
