"I've been taking guitar lessons with Glenn for 2–3 years now, and I recommend him to every friend or colleague who wants to learn guitar (or bass or ukulele) or improve their playing. Glenn has a library of songs tabbed out; once he gets a general sense of where you are in your progress with the guitar, he can suggest dozens of songs in each of several genres--rock, jazz, blues, pop, etc.--that are appropriate for your level. He works with you until you are comfortable playing that song and it's time to move on to a new song, slowly increasing in difficulty as your skill develops. This approach has helped me to slowly, but steadily, develop my skills while playing songs I enjoy. If you want to stick with a pick, stick with finger style, or develop both skills, Glenn can help you improve. If you want to read tabs or read standard notation, Glenn can work with you on either. He mixes in some theory along the way, but not so much that it gets in the way of the fun of playing the guitar. I'm a middle-aged guy, but if you are looking for a guitar teacher for your child, my impression is that he is a great teacher for children and teenagers as well. He is friendly and patient, important traits in a guitar teacher!

A little about my work as a musician : Over the years, I toured, recorded and played with numerous bands and artists such as, Carly Simon, Ben Taylor, Mike Keneally, Bryan Beller, Armande Sabel-Leco, Paul Barrere, Kenny Gradney and Bill Payne, Pato Banton, Brendon Small's Galaktikon, Bird York, Janet Robin, Gwen Stefani, Eve, The Roots and more ! I also have theatrical show experience with numerous plays and with Cirque Du Soliel's 'Totem' , ' Corteo' and 'Zarkana'. Auditioning for and attending the Orange County School of the Arts Guitar program from 7th to 12th grade expanded my musical horizons, training me in classical, flamenco, jazz, and studio engineering using Logic Pro X and Protools. Beyond school performances at renowned venues like Disneyland, House of Blues, and jazz festivals, I delved into the LA punk scene and various local gigs. With four years of teaching experience at Guitar Center, I've instructed students of all ages and levels, embracing diverse styles and adapting to group dynamics. Teaching extends beyond the norm for me; I've worked with children and adults with special needs, aiming to make music accessible and enjoyable for everyone.
