Bio: I’ve been golfing for over 30 years and as I grew older I’ve learned to maximize what I have. I’m 5’6” and though I consider myself an athlete, I do believe a good swing can be achieved by good fundamentals and what I call positioning. By ingraining certain aspects of a swing, we can continue to improve by doing. I’m just a low-handicap golfer who want to teach average golfers good fundamentals as a takeaway, so you can start to improve on your own. I’m not a teaching professional, but I was a design instructor at an art school for over 17 years, I hope I can make improving your golf game fun.

Bio: James Fish is a certified USGTF (United States Golf Teachers Federation) golf instructor and performance coach who has worked in the Golf Industry since 1999. James is also a certified hypnotherapist from the Alchemy Institute of Hypnosis in Santa Rosa and holds a Master’s Degree in Transformative Arts from JFK University. He employs his knowledge of Buddhist and Shamanic thought in his teaching methodology. Addressing both the inner and outer game, James directs his students to develop their focus using his uniquely designed exercises and techniques. James is currently a Club Fitting Specialist for World Wide Golf and teaches at the Foxtail Golf Club in Rohnert Park, California. In August of 2021 James passed his test to become certified as a Master Teaching Professional and is now in his 14th year of Instruction.. Bio: I am a single-digit handicap golfer who has been playing seriously through high school. I believe the physical side of golf only goes so far, and the real improvement comes from the mental game. Half the battle is hitting the shots, while the other half is knowing which shot to hit. I can help players improve with driving, irons, and wedges, and I have been trained by PGA championship winners as well as multiple D1 coaches. I am excited to help others improve and have a great time on the course. *I use a GC3 for more advanced data, but won’t bring it on the first lesson, and will use it only once I’m comfortable it will be a tool, and not a detriment to your game :) *Lesson fee covers lesson; balls/course fees paid by student onsite.

On top of being a life long golfer, my degree is in Biomedical Engineering so I have a deep sense of physics, anatomy, biomechanics & material science. During my undergrad, I played D-1 water polo and club soccer. Eventually, I shifted to CrossFit where I achieved the top 33% in the world my first time competing in the 2016 Open. From there, I found boxing as an outlet from the biotech startup world and was on track to compete at USA Master's level before COVID/SIP hit. Since I have started coaching, I've worked one season with Stratford Charter School as an assistant coach, gained a Confidence Coach certification as well as an esoteric Gene Keys Guide authorization. So my golf life started on the course they retired on up past Sacramento after he was a surgeon/GP in Los Gatos and a member of La Rinc. It was there I learned to swing free using his old persimmons. When I grew into my body as a teenager, I casually wacked it around NorCal hunting those big birds. It wasn't until I was working that I started playing weekly. My self-taught low round is 76 with 23 putts. Luckily, I also have 2 Hole-in-ones (Ko Olina #12*, TPC Stonebrae #13). Bio: Michael grew up in Cape Town, South Africa and started playing golf from a young age. He went to university in Georgia and after a decent college career turned pro and played the mini tours in Florida, then the Australian tour and South African Sunshine tour. After a couple of years as a playing professional, he went through the PGA training in the UK and became a teaching pro at Blackmoor GC in Southern England. Michael then took a job with well renown European Tour teacher, Jamie Gough at this golf school in Cape Town. Michael worked there for 3 years before moving to Europe and spending 8 years teaching in Germany and Switzerland before moving to America. Michael also spent time caddying/managing on the European Tour in the 2005, he has done 3 TPI classes through the Titleist Performance Institute as well as many other classes, courses to grow his knowledge. Michael enjoys teaching players of all skill levels from beginners to tour players. Michael still plays a lot of golf and you can find him tinkering with his swing or playing a variety of courses in his free time. He also loves to cook and explore the beauty of Northern California.
