•About me (golf) My name is Noel Sims. I am a professional golfer located in Phoenix, Arizona. I am 27-years old and have been playing the game since I could walk. I have been competing in golf tournaments from ages 3-current and have played in some elite events as a junior golfer, amateur golfer and professional golfer. While finishing my junior career, I was ranked the #1 African-American in the nation and top 240 in the world on the JGS rankings. I played 1-year at South Mountain Community College where I was apart of a NJCAA National Championship team in 2016 and finished my collegiate career at Alabama State from years 2017-2021 (redshirt year at SMCC and a Covid-19 year at ASU). I was a consistent starting at both programs and have a lot experience of playing different styles of golf. I turned professional in 2021 and have made 2/2 cuts at the 2021 Outlaw Tour Wigwam Red Classic and the 2023 Arizona Open (haven’t played much professional due to finishing my Master’s Degree while also working after my collegiate career). • About me (education) I have an extensive passion for helping others reach their true potential. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My passion for others goes farther than just helping others in a room, but also outdoors! I find enjoyment in seeing others progress and passing my knowledge to others when it comes to golf and also recommendations with life.

In the 22 years of my golf career, I was able to win 2 collegiate events while representing the UCLA Golf Team (Setting the UCLA record at Chambers Bay (Shooting 62) and winning one event as a professional golfer in 2021. Now, I play as +5 handicap on the course! I am currently teaching any golfers all the way from beginners to scratch golfers. I was once a beginner when I was young starting out and I also was in a stage of shooting in 80s consistently and had to learn how to break the ice to shoot under par. Swing Drills & Fun Challenges (15 min) • Use soft golf balls or SNAG (Starting New At Golf) equipment for safety. • Create a target challenge (hula hoops, cones, or buckets). • Have them swing in slow motion to build muscle memory. 4.
