Hello, my name is Omar. I’m a motivated bilingual (English/Spanish) baseball instructor with hands-on experience coaching youth athletes and helping them develop their skills on and off the field. I focus on teaching the fundamentals of baseball—hitting, fielding, throwing, and mechanics—while creating a positive and supportive environment that builds confidence, improves performance, and helps athletes reach their full potential.

Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, Jordan developed a passion for baseball at an early age while being surrounded by the game in professional clubhouses throughout his childhood. A standout player in New York City, he earned NYC All-City honors during his senior year of high school before continuing his academic and athletic career at University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where he majored in Kinesiology. Jordan’s collegiate playing career was unfortunately cut short due to a torn UCL that resulted in multiple elbow surgeries. Following his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and player development, bringing both firsthand playing experience and a strong understanding of movement, performance, and athlete development to his coaching style. Over the past several years, Jordan has coached at both the collegiate and youth levels, including multiple seasons at Monroe College in New York. He currently serves as a Hitting and Fielding Instructor at Dynamic Baseball Performance in Miami, Florida, where he works with athletes of all skill levels to develop more efficient swings, improve defensive skills, and maximize on-field performance through individualized, evidence-based training. Additionally, Jordan holds multiple industry-recognized certifications in player development and performance training. He is certified through Driveline Baseball in the Foundations of Hitting, Pitching, and Strength Training, as well as certified in both Rapsodo Hitting and Pitching. He also holds USA Baseball A, B, and C coaching certifications. These credentials reflect his commitment to continuing education, data-driven player development, and providing athletes with modern, evidence-based training methods.

I specialize in pitching mechanics, velocity development, arm care, command, mental preparation and game strategy. I work with athletes of all ages and skill levels. I have played and coached baseball my entire life. My experience ranges in baseball, strength and conditioning and sports performance giving your athlete the opportunity to develop overall to the best of their abilities. I have worked with Youth to high school athletes preparing them both mental and physically. They will learn when and how to use the skills they've learn to prepare them for the game ahead. I’m Coach Asis Cummings, founder of the LionHeart Hitting System and a USA Baseball Certified Coach with approximately 15 years of coaching and player-development experience. I specialize in hitting, defense, conditioning, and complete player development. My hitting instruction is different. It is built around understanding exactly why a ball is hit on the ground, popped up, missed, or driven—and teaching hitters a simple, repeatable bat path designed to produce hard, consistent contact. The goal is consistency. I want hitters to develop the mechanics, precision, and understanding that create a feeling of being automatic at the plate—seeing the pitch, trusting the swing, and knowing how to make adjustments when something goes wrong. The LionHeart Hitting System was developed through years of studying swings, contact, and results. We are now working toward introducing this approach to Major League Baseball organizations because I believe the same principles that help developing players can address inconsistencies we continue to see at the professional level. I work with players from beginners through advanced athletes. My students have included young hitters who developed into All-Stars, players who hit their first home runs after training, and high school hitters who made significant improvements in power and offensive production. Every athlete is different, so I coach the player in front of me. We develop mechanics, precision, conditioning, confidence, discipline, and an understanding of the game—not simply take swings. My goal is for players to understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to correct themselves. Players will always be coached with respect, positive instruction, high expectations, and no foul language.
