I bring nine years of pickleball coaching experience, shaped by my background as a collegiate athlete and Intramural Champion. I aim to help players of all levels unlock their potential and foster a love for the game. Let's elevate your game together!
"As a newer player, I couldn’t have asked for a better coach. They explained fundamentals clearly and made learning pickleball feel approachable and fun. Their patience and enthusiasm helped build my confidence, and I now feel comfortable playing in competitive games.

I have been swinging golf clubs since I was a baby. Started playing seriously in high school. Was in a Nike golf commercial. Golf is a sport that everyone can enjoy and learn lessons from. Whether it be learning from your mistakes or teaching you honesty, golf serves you while you have fun.

With over a decade of competitive volleyball experience, I competed at the Division I level at the University of Washington in both indoor and beach volleyball. I was part of a Pac-12 Championship team, made three NCAA indoor tournament appearances (including a Sweet Sixteen), and competed in an NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship. Beyond playing, I’ve coached summer camps for five consecutive years and have provided private lessons to athletes of all ages and skill levels — from beginners learning fundamentals to advanced players preparing for high school, club, and collegiate competition. My coaching style is energetic, technical, and confidence-building. I focus on strong fundamentals, smart decision-making, and game-speed reps so athletes improve quickly and translate skills directly into competition. Lessons are tailored to each athlete’s goals — whether it’s building basic skills, refining position-specific technique, preparing for tryouts, or elevating beach or indoor performance.

I’ve been playing volleyball for eight years at both school and club levels, including indoor, beach, and outdoor formats for the past three years. Over the last four years, I’ve gained extensive coaching and volunteer experience, teaching athletes proper technique, game strategy, and the importance of teamwork. I focus on helping players develop not only their physical skills but also confidence, discipline, and a love for the game.

I’m Wayne Mendezona, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Corban University and founder of Quick Handle Basketball. I’ve spent over 30+ years developing athletes and have trained more than 50,000 players—from youth to college and professional levels. I specialize in ball handling, scoring, and game performance—helping athletes build confidence, decision-making, and real in-game results. My training is not just drills—it’s about developing complete players who can perform under pressure, think the game, and separate themselves from the competition. I don’t train average. I train athletes who are serious about growth, discipline, and competing at a higher level. If that’s you, let’s get to work.
"My son said Coach Mendo was far and away the most effective coach he's ever worked with! His knowledge, tools, and willingness to share wisdom are incredible. I've never seen my son so impressed by a coach or heard him so enthusiastic about what he learned in a session. Very grateful!
