Hi, my name is Jonathan Saraga and I'm a New York City-based trumpeter, flugelhornist, composer, arranger and educator. I’ve been performing, recording, and competing around the world for over two decades, frequenting Canada, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Asia, the U.S. My trumpet playing appears in over 230 YouTube videos and on more than 30 albums, including many that are Grammy-nominated or Grammy-winning. My playing, compositions and musical research have also received 35 competitive recognitions from 25 national and international organizations, and my work has engaged with audiences in more than 500 cities across nearly 70 countries and close to 100 universities. My ultimate goal as an educator is to guide you toward the realization of your potential. Our learning environment will nurture a personalized process of self-discovery through my guidance, as opposed to a one-size-fits-all system of dictation for how you should or should not develop and/or perceive material. I see each interaction with a student as a sacred opportunity to help facilitate realization, regardless of magnitude, and I have dedicated myself to refining my abilities as a musician and teacher, to that end. I am confident that through our lessons, I will not only help you become better at hearing, internalizing, and expressing music, but that I will guide you in developing your own personal musical voice and direction.

I am a dedicated Coach with a passion for developing players of all skill levels. I will focus on fundamentals such as serving, shot selection, footwork, and court positioning, while emphasizing strategy, sportsmanship, and game awareness. I bring empathy and edge in equal measure. No mansplaining. Ever. EQ, off the charts, (HOW)ever! I COACH THE WHOLE PLAYER Technical, tactical, mental. I know when to push and when to have patience. I'll enhance your strengths, work on your weaknesses, and tailor everything to who you are as a player. EVERY PLAYER HAS A GOAL WORTH CHASING. My students range from 3.0 players discovering the sport to 4.5+ competitors chasing a rating or a tournament result. Mostly women — but not exclusively. What everyone shares is a goal, even if they haven't fully defined it yet. Sometimes the goal is simple: beat Suzy at league night. Sometimes it's bigger: find your inner athlete, feel confident on court, connect to something that's genuinely yours. Often the goal evolves — students come in wanting one thing and discover something they didn't know they were looking for. I'll meet you where you are and hold the highest vision for where you can go — while understanding that progress isn't always linear and some days are just harder than others.

I’m a tennis player and coach currently attending the University of California, Irvine (UCI). I was a 2-year captain of my high school tennis team, earned All-League honors twice, and helped lead my team to two league championships. I’ve worked as a hitting partner at Yonkers Tennis. I’ve also given independent tennis lessons to kids and adults of all ages, and I really enjoy working with kids and helping them build confidence and improve their game. I am teaching tennis to help pay for college.

I am a D1 tennis player at sacred heart and I have been teaching tennis to young children and adults at my house, at Greenwich Racquet Club and in Darien since 2020. I am 18 years of age and my father was a tennis professional and coach back in Canada.
