Having coached my own sons to success in varsity singles, I currently instruct 30 kids aged 5 to 12, emphasizing patience and fun in every lesson. Kevin Du is a New York–based Chinese-American pianist, composer, and bandleader whose work reflects a multicultural upbringing and deep roots in both classical and jazz traditions. His music blends diverse influences with a commitment to lyricism, authenticity, and emotional depth. Kevin graduated with highest honors from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Jazz Composition and Arranging and is currently completing his Master’s at New York University, studying with leading figures in the New York jazz scene. His debut album, Somewhere, a Butterfly Sings, is set for release in May 2026. He also leads his own trio, performing original music at established venues throughout the city.
