"When I started training with Coach V it was my senior year of high school. I had the most heart on the team but I wasn’t the best skill wise. Coach V worked with me at 5am before classes would start and it really helped me gain my confidence and become a better player skill wise. By the end of my senior year I went from not being recognized to having the opportunity to play basketball in college for a scholarship.

Hello. My name is Matthew. I started playing guitar at age 13. I play many different styles of music as well as different styles of guitar. I enjoy playing melodic soft acoustic and also heavy distorted electric guitar. I like to teach in a fun upbeat way that helps to engage the students in learning the fundamentals and to begin creating music as soon as possible. There are many things to learn and understand in the journey of guitar playing and it's my goal to break down these concepts in the easiest way to help encourage students to stay engaged with this amazing instrument. You can find some of my original material on YouTube. Songs like Distraction showcase my singing and guitar work. Tracks such as Wonky, Bellerina and Beach Day have great guitar work and also show how I edit, mix and master my own music. Please check out https://youtube.com/@matthewchavezmbs
