"To be honest, Dave is a close personal friend of mine but I asked him if I could sign up for the class he was teaching next. What really impressed me was that I went into the first class being a bit nervous being his friend, but he had everyone introduce themselves and he said by all means that I was to tell everyone I was his friend (and it turned out, only male besides himself) and everyone seemed excited because his friend had signed up. Dave started with all the basics, how to hold the Paddle, how to be in position to serve or return, how the scoring works, and when I got confused keeping score, he knew he had me, because I did it over and over...but he would just laugh and mention the actual score and we'd play on. His coaching and instructing style is low key, fun, engaging, (while also making fun of my inability to remember the score). I truly enjoyed the classes and hope to take more from him in the near future because he's a great instructor!,
