I am a RSPA Certified Pickleball Professional. My racquet sports career started in tennis where I played for my high school and collegiate teams. I went on to be a collegiate head coach, club tennis professional and tennis director at a country club. After leaving tennis for a professional sales career, I found I missed helping people enjoy a game and get some exercise. Pickleball is a fantastic game that offers great exercise, fun competition and is incredibly social. Pickleball is fun and learning it should be to!

I’m a 4.5-level pickleball player and the Head Pickleball Professional at Des Moines Golf and Country Club. Since March 2025, I’ve coached more than 100 lessons with players ranging from complete beginners to advanced (4.0) competitors. My coaching style is technical, encouraging, and tailored to your goals. I focus on clear instruction, practical drills, and helping you build confidence while enjoying the game.

I’m a collegiate-level player and experienced tennis instructor who helps players build strong fundamentals, confidence, and match-ready skills. I spent 1.5 years as a teaching pro at River Trails Tennis Center, working with 50+ clients. I played No. 1 singles and doubles throughout my career at Lake Forest College. I now serve as a volunteer assistant coach for Grinnell College and teach at Genesis Health Clubs on Hickman Road in Des Moines.

I am a certified 5-12 English Language Arts teacher located in Iowa. I have the most experience teaching upper level high school courses and AP level courses.
