About your pickleball coach
I am a RSPA Certified Pickleball Professional. My racquet sports career started in tennis where I played high school and college intermural tennis. I went on to be a collegiate head coach, club tennis professional and tennis director at a country club. After leaving tennis for a professional sales career, I found I missed helping people enjoy a game and get some exercise. Pickleball is a fantastic game that offers great exercise, fun competition and is incredibly social. I teach for the fun

Beginner training plan
Your first lessonPickleball is not a difficult game, so we get warmed up and after a quick safety check we get hitting balls. We will talk through rules during breaks or situationally. Homework will be given...play between lessons!
Lesson 2-3We will review rules, warm up, start near the net and then working our way back. Talk basic strategies.
Lesson 4-10Assuming the student is playing between lessons we will structure each lesson with a progression to work on a particular stroke, skill or strategy. The student/player will be given one thing to focus on during their play until the next lesson.
Lesson 11+Now the expectation will be for the player to guide the lesson by discussing where they are struggling and we will drill those spots and do more situational drills and play.
