Passionate Pickleball enthusiast who embarked on a journey in 2015 by playing and teaching the sport for an adult 50+ recreation program. Over the course of eight successful years, I built and nurtured the program, fostering a love for Pickleball. In 2023, I took my commitment to the next level by enrolling in the Pickleball Coaching International Instructor Certification Course, officially becoming a certified coach. I am dedicated to teaching and advocating recreational Pickleball, emphasizing a fun and no-pressure learning environment. As a Recreation Master, I strongly believe in the power of daily self-recreation; for me, that's Pickleball the Recreation way. With a lifelong background in racket sports, including tennis, table tennis, and a passion for pickleball, I combine my experience as a competitive 5.0-level pickleball medalist with three Division 1 tennis championships and a Southern California CIF semifinal appearance. I currently teach as the head pickleball pro at Mulholland Hills Country Club and Mika's Tennis Academy and have previously worked as a Special Education Teacher, Registered Behavior Therapist, Adaptive Skills Clinician, Mobility Trainer, and Physical Therapist Aide. I hold a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Applied Behavior Analysis and a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Biomechanics. My students have earned medals from the 2.5–4.5 level and qualified for USA Pickleball Nationals and Senior Professional opens. I'm also proud to partner with leading pickleball brands, including Selkirk, Honolulu Pickleball Company, Osaka and Spartus, allowing my students access to exclusive discounts on premium equipment. I have been playing pickleball since early 2022 and received my PPR Associate Coach certification in June of 2023. Positive feedback from students reflect that I have a knack for easily explaining the rules of the game and can teach technique to beginners and intermediates in a fun and informative way. I have prior teaching experience in dance and gymnastics as a young adult. I have trained extensively at camps and clinics lead by numerous instructors and Pros, including Tyson McGuffin, Susannah Barr, Zac Taylor Lisa & Wayne Dollard, and Bobby Phoumy. Pickleball fondly reminds me of my younger days playing badminton and ping pong. I really enjoy sharing valuable information to inspire others to learn and find happiness in mastering this super fun sport for all ages. I have recently received an additional PPR certification, specializing in pickleball youth development geared for students age 6 through teens.
