Sports of all kinds have always been an integral part of my life. I love playing different sports and games, particularly racket sports. This active lifestyle has kept me young in both mind and body. Nothing makes me happier than transferring my love of sports to my students. I've taught pickleball for 3-4 years to students of all ages, genders, and experience levels. I'm patient and dedicated to helping my students become proficient in pickleball so they can enjoy it safely as much as I do.

I’m Derrick, an 20 year old 5.0+ Pickleball player (Playing in APP/PPA pro qualifiers soon!) based out of South Florida! In the past I’ve played tennis, table tennis, badminton, as well as a couple of other sports. I have coaching experience from tennis and bowling. But I want to teach the sport I’m most interested in, Pickleball! Excited to get on the court together. Heads up! Although I did do commercials Professor Pickleball. I specialize in developing a solid and well thought out game. Although the process is slower early on, the better you get the easier it will be to get better! My best shots are my drops/resets and my backhand flicks. And my playstyle is a very shifty “joker” style of play. I am also quite flexible with times and locations as long as there is a court open in the area!

I bring the FUN to FUNdamentals!! Bio: I've been involved in athletics throughout my life. The skills I developed across multiple sports directly impact my approach to coaching today. I began playing pickleball in 2020 and recognized its unique blend of strategy, movement, and community. These combined elements led me to pursue formal training and earn my certification through the Professional Pickleball Registry (PPR). I coach all ages and skill levels and am available to travel for lessons, clinics, and group instruction. My coaching philosophy is grounded in creating an environment where fun meets fundamentals, ensuring that each player develops strong technical skills while cultivating a lasting love for the game.
