Beginner training plan
Your first lessonI'll teach you the proper grip, ready position, and basic forehand using easy, slow paced feeds. By the end, you'll be rallying a few balls and know exactly what we're working on next.
Lesson 2-3We build on the forehand and add the backhand. You'll learn footwork, balance, and how to control the ball, with mini rallies from the service line to build confidence
Lesson 4-10We introduce the serve and volley, and move to longer rallies from the baseline. You'll learn court positioning, basic scoring, and how to keep the ball in play. Expect live ball drills and short points
Lesson 11+Now we focus on consistency and match play. We'll work on playing points, serve and return patterns, and building your confidence to play games with friends or in local leagues
Youth players
Working with kidsThe most important thing is that they have fun. I keep lessons active, playful, and fast-paced, using games and short drills with lots of movement, targets, and mini-rallies, plus lower-compression balls when needed. When kids enjoy being on court, they learn faster. I build confidence and good habits early
