About your golf coach

Trained under Hall of Fame instructor Mike Bender and Sean Hogan at the Leadbetter Golf Academy, Taylor brought his game to PGA Tour Monday Qualifiers - including the Rex Hospital Open and the Permian Basin Classic. That completive crucible shaped a simple but uncompromising teaching philosophy: there are no quick fixes. Real improvement is built through deliberate process, honest practice and patience. My belief is the only the swing that holds up is that was built and taught the right way.

Your first lessonThe grip, stance width, and basic swing mechanics.
Lesson 11+Understand how and what it means to be on the golf course. Feeling your swing and be able to self correct your swing.
Lesson 4-10These will be the basics still, you will not be a point to where you will be birding holes. But close to your first par.
Lesson 2-3Building on the original lesson. From here on what you won’t hear me do I bounce around and give you things to confuse you.
Advanced training plan
Your first lessonThe first lesson is identifying your foundational flaw. Your foundational flaw is important because if it is not identified, it doesn’t matter who you take a lesson from me or anyone else your foundational flaw will sabotage anything else that you try to do. You will be chasing ghost flaws.
Lesson 11+By these lessons you understand stand your transitional misses and understand you foundational flaw. And will have better grasp of how to score. Because here’s the problem people think that a good swing leads to better scoring. It does not. Scoring is and learning to score the next part of the process. And I walk you through it. As we get rid of your foundational flaw.
Lesson 4-10These lessons are important because by this point, you will have a better and clear understanding of what your foundational flaw is and also understand something called a transitional miss and this is where people really mess up with golf instruction with not understanding that when you’re changing something major like a a foundational flaw you’re going to have those transitional misses and those are the misses and bad shots that you have while you’re getting rid of the foundation of flaw.
Lesson 2-3Understanding the process. And understanding your foundational flaw. If you do not know your foundational flaw, you will spend the rest of your golfing life correcting ghost flaws. And that is not fun. And understand that I don’t bounce around. You will never hear me say try this. Try that. Try this; try that. When taking the lesson from the best instructors in the world like I have they tell you what your swing foundational flaw is and every lesson that you take, that is what they are working on until you stop the foundational flaw, and I am the same way.

Working with kidsWhen working with juniors I adapt my lessons to their attention span.
Working with teenagersWhen working with AJGA if it’s normal or playing lesson. Kids want to that you can do what you are asking them to do. And I can do that. Being a +2.7 handicap. I have to swing and abilities that make them want to pay attention and follow instruction.

Taylor was extremely knowledgeable, well-trained, and patient throughout the lesson. What stood out most was his ability to explain instruction in a way that was easy for me to understand and apply.
