Previously, I was a tennis professional @ Wedgewood Golf and Country Club training players of all ages and additionally, I have a strong background playing USTA Tournaments (15-2 all time in USTA doubles according to Tennis Record). Good tennis shoes that are in good enough condition that you won’t trip or slide too much. Shoes with holes in the bottom should be changed before playing. If you have a sweat band/wristband or a towel, I highly recommend bringing one for outdoor lessons. Always bring a water bottle! Some of the parks have fountains but it is never a guarantee. Indoor facilities have water fountains, but having a water bottle means you don’t have to visit the water fountain after every drill.
