I have loved soccer since I was two. Starting with local clinics, leagues, and playing through school, I enjoyed the New Jersey and New York leagues and played five years in the ESFNA tournament for the New York Abay team as a right back. I paused my playing to become a coach, earning my C license and working on my B license with USA Soccer. I have coached middle school teams in Riverdale, Bronx, and worked with Soccer Kids NYC and the New York Red Bulls youth soccer club. Also, school.

"Start at an intermediate level, but the last class surprisingly completed the basic soccer skills very well.

I’m a newer coach with years of playing experience and a background teaching children both academically and athletically. I want to help kids build confidence while improving their footwork, shooting, passing, field view, and general understanding of the game. My goal is for it to be fun, yet technical, as I have years of training from elite coaches from England. I want to work with any child regardless of ability, as long as they have desire and passion for the game.

Hi my name is Edgar, 22 years old. Been playing for 15 years and still playing in the APSL. Started at FC Harlem by the age of 8 until 15. Trained under Chelsea coaches. Having my own personal goalkeeping coach, training under him for 2 years. Later went on to play at Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy MS/HS. After high school went to Bronx Community College (BCC) playing with them for 1 year until I switched over to a APSL club called Kid Super Samba FC. Been playing semi-professionally with them for 4 years. After many years of playing I realized how difficult it is to find a proper goalkeeper trainer and I would love to give back to the community in helping coach young kids who aspire to become goalkeepers.

"His experience and reading of the game really helps me and shows me areas I need to improve in. And the feedback he gives during drills is extremely helpful because I thought the way I’ve been doing something for the longest has been the only way but he showed me other ways that I can approach it. His experience and feedback comes a long way.

"I am so grateful that Sofive Soccer Center is in my neck of the woods. This is definitely a quality operation. The facility is very impressive. Jeremiah has been a part of different Soccer clubs in the past. I have to say the coaching and attention he gets from Coach Rez is special and keeps us coming back. We have not experienced this before. Coach Rez has a unique gift of encouraging and motivating the kids to do their very best while teaching skills and technique necessary for success. For many coaching is a job. For Coach Rez it seems to be a passion. He is definitely an asset to Sofive. Thanks, Sofive for looking for the best for our children and community.
