With nearly five years of pickleball instruction and podium finishes at the 5.0+ level, I help athletes of all levels with skill development and strategic thinking. I’m open for one-on-one and group sessions. I can often find you a compatible lesson partner when schedules mesh. I have 25 years of fitness coaching experience with an expertise in injury reduction. I train and work with pickleball athletes on and off court. Pickleball is a footwork sport and I love teaching players the important details — whether it be technique or strategies for on court success. About 2 months after I first started playing pickleball, I entered a tournament and had to register with the USAPA (USA Pickleball Association). On the registration form, they ask you for a nickname, which I entered "Danimal" thinking no one would ever see it. Sure enough, during my first tournament, when being called over the loudspeakers for my matches, the announcer yelled Danimal rather than my first or last name. I was embarrassed and couldn't believe it. However, while walking to the courts, everyone high-fived me and told me they loved the nickname. That weekend, I won a gold medal in Men's Singles, Mixed Doubles, and Men's Doubles completing a Triple Crown in my first tournament. Lo and behold, the nickname has stuck and is now forever

As a 4.5 rated Pickleball player with more than a year under my belt, I've built upon my history as a former 5.0 tennis player. I decided to switch to PB for a change of pace and soon made my mark by winning multiple tournaments at the 3.5 level. Our lessons will thoroughly cover both the forehand and backhand techniques, always emphasizing the critical importance of a correct follow-through. Join me, and together we'll ensure you have the skills and confidence to compete with anyone on the court!
