I have been teaching piano, music theory, and music history for many years, privately and in schools. Most recently, I have been teaching at my home studio in Arlington Heights, IL. I provide a well-rounded education that includes: Reading the notes • Music theory and history • Performance training • Expression and artistry • Playing by ear Most importantly, I teach students HOW TO LEARN and develop lifelong skills that can be applied in school.

"I was referred to Galina by a family member eight years ago, and she now teaches all four of my children. We have been so fortunate to have her as their piano teacher! Galina not only teaches my children how to play the piano through weekly lessons, but she also has an incredible knowledge of music theory and music history. She is wonderful with students of all levels, whether they are just starting out or are more advanced. One of the things I appreciate most about Galina is her ability to adapt her teaching style to each student’s individual needs and personality. She is patient and understanding, while also providing the right amount of encouragement and challenge to help each student continue to grow and progress. My children have developed not only their piano skills but also a greater appreciation and understanding of music. Galina also holds an annual recital for all of her students, which is always a special event for our family. We love being able to invite friends and family and see how much the children have learned and progressed throughout the year. I wholeheartedly recommend Galina to anyone looking for a talented, knowledgeable, and dedicated piano teacher!
