When it comes to teaching, I try to meet the student where they are in terms of skill, knowledge and goals as everyone is unique and learns differently. Fun and creativity are also important. A guitar lesson shouldn't feel like a math class. Of course, there are fundamentals to learn but a playful spirit is essential to creating original compositions.
