At the age of 9, I discovered basketball and became obsessed with it. “Basketball is life” was my motto growing up—from finishing team practices at the gym, then going straight to a local basketball court for pickup games. I considered basketball courts my second home, and in many ways, they still are. My playing journey took me through several years in AAU and Showcase leagues, starting with the Bay Area Asian Sports Dragons as a youth and onto other travel teams. I competed in basketball tournaments held in Reno and all over California year-round. As a four-year varsity player, I continued to earn MIP and MVP awards in high school, and was honored to make the PAL NorCal All-League First and Second Teams during my later years. I was also recognized the Student Athlete of the Year as a triathlete playing volleyball and running track in addition to basketball for all of those years. These experiences have taught me a lot about overcoming adversities, teamwork, and leadership. More importantly, I learned that the relationships you create with your team and community are the lifelong awards from sports. I am an advocate for fostering community and connections through sports, and I truly believe that sports bring out the best in people. Having walked the path from beginner to competitive player, I want to be a guiding light for those just starting out or looking to elevate their development. My goal is to help players grow their skills while encouraging them to become better people throughout their journey. For over two decades, I’ve cultivated a deep love and understanding of basketball. I focus on skill development and strategic thinking, fostering both confident players and a genuine love for the game. I’m here to share that same passion with anyone who aspires to get better and compete to their fullest potential.
"We worked with Dre to help our daughter develop her fundamentals in basketball, and we’re really happy we found her! Right away, our daughter felt a great connection with Dre, which I think is so important when it comes to any coach-player relationship. From there, Dre was able to quickly identify the areas our daughter could improve on while also recognizing the things she was already doing well. She was always on time, professional, and really knew how to work with our daughter. We felt like our daughter learned a ton in the short amount of time they worked together, and we could already see the improvement. We definitely plan to continue working with Dre as our daughter starts her school basketball season. Thanks so much, Dre!

" Coach V has been my son's coach for more than a year now and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his patience and understanding. His ability to connect with my kid is truly remarkable. Coach V takes the time to understand my son's unique needs and tailors his coaching style accordingly. His calm demeanor and encouraging words make my son feel valued. As a result, my son has gained confidence and improved significantly under his guidance. What stands out most is Coach V's skill in breaking down complex plays into understandable steps, ensuring that my son can follow along. He never gives up until my son demonstrates that he understands. Additionally, Coach V brings an infectious energy to every session. His enthusiasm for the game is evident and inspires my son to give his best. He knows how to keep my son engaged, using creative methods to explain plays and skills. It’s clear that he enjoys coaching, and that positivity encourages my son to further develop his skills and confidence.
