Hey, I'm August! I've spent 15+ years as a competitive player and coach, from high school and JUCO through Division I and professional ball in Sweden and Portugal. I hold a Master's degree in Research of Exercise Science from Northumbria University, where my thesis explored Empowering Coaching, building winning cultures through self-determination, autonomy, and selflessness. I coach players of every age and level, from beginners to high school and college athletes, with a special love for the 4 and 5 spots, though I'm comfortable teaching any position. Every lesson starts with a conversation about your goals and a skill assessment, so we build a plan around exactly what you need. Let's get to work!
"August is the reason my 10 yr old son has became a better basketball player.
Playing at many different levels and skill set throughout my life it has provided me the knowledge and experience for the game I love. Not only as a player but also a coach/trainer. Developing the understanding of what it takes to move on to the next level. As a basketball trainer I focus on the players development. Teaching fundamentals of Shooting, Dribbling, IQ, Defense, Rebounding, and Teamwork. Focusing on these keys of the game can set you up for long time success in becoming a floor general on and off the court.
"Coach understands how I play and how I can be coached. I dont like being yelled at ablut things. But he takes time to explain and show me how to do it right.
With five years dedicated to basketball instruction, I foster growth through tailored coaching. I blend fundamental skill-building with strategic game insight, ensuring a fun, challenging, and rewarding learning experience for all levels. My passion is helping athletes reach their full potential.
